Grace is the part of a day where somebody lets you off. The colleague who covered a mistake without mentioning it. The friend who let a cancelled plan pass without comment. The driver who could have leaned on the horn and didn't.
None of it gets recorded. Slights are remembered in detail; being spared is forgotten within the hour, which is why a day can feel far more full of friction than of mercy. The ledger is almost certainly running in your favour. It just keeps very poor records on the good side.
