Affirmation to Gratitude I am thankful for this moment right now, exactly as it is.

I am thankful for this moment right now, exactly as it is.

*Exactly as it is* is the difficult clause. It rules out the negotiating — the *once this is over*, the *if only this one thing were different*.

Most dissatisfaction isn't really with a moment. It's with the gap between a moment and its imagined edit. Remove the edit and a surprising number of ordinary moments turn out to be fine.

Not all of them. Some genuinely need changing, and acceptance is never a reason to stay somewhere bad.

But for this one, probably ordinary one: what is it actually lacking, apart from the version you were comparing it to?
