The support most people need is already within two steps of them and simply unmapped. Someone in your phone has done this before. Someone's sister is a nurse. The neighbour two doors down owns the ladder you were about to hire.

None of that surfaces on its own, because nobody announces what they can do. It surfaces when you mention the problem in a room, out loud, without apologising for having it.

People are largely willing. What they lack is any idea that you need something, and no amount of goodwill gets past that.
