Affirmation to Stress and Anxiety I breathe out stress and worry with every exhale.

I breathe out stress and worry with every exhale.

Your body already does this several times an hour without consulting you. The long involuntary sigh — the one that arrives mid-sentence and slightly embarrasses you in a quiet office — is a reset performed entirely on its own initiative.

It is maintenance. The exhale is the half that gets cut short when you are keyed up: the in-breath grows, the out-breath shortens, and the whole rhythm tips toward emergency. Lengthening the second half is less a technique than handing back something the body was already trying to do without you.
