I celebrate my victories and embrace my failures as opportunities to learn and grow.

The celebrating is the half that gets skipped. A promotion is announced on Thursday and by Friday lunchtime someone is asking about next quarter's numbers, and the thing never gets marked at all.

Failure, by comparison, receives enormous amounts of processing time. It gets turned over, examined, learned from at length, sometimes for years.

Give the wins something like equal attention. Not a party — just a proper hour in which you allow it to be true that something went well, before the next thing is permitted to start.
