Affirmation to Self-Help I embrace who I am becoming every passing day.

I embrace who I am becoming every passing day.

The self you're becoming is made mostly out of the ones you'd rather not discuss. The version at nineteen, with the terrible haircut and the loud opinions, did some of the load-bearing work.

Embracing isn't only forward-facing. It means declining to treat your earlier selves as embarrassments to be outgrown, given that they're the ones who got you this far. None of it requires the change to be large — some days you become a slightly more patient person for eleven minutes in a queue, and it accumulates whether or not you notice.
