I find the work I need to do to be fascinating.

Fascination isn't a property of the task. It's what happens when you look at something long enough to see its structure.

Most work reads as dull from a distance — the invoice, the same report every Friday. Get close and there is usually a puzzle inside: why this step always takes longer than it should, who actually reads the thing, what would break if it vanished.

Try that on the one task you have been avoiding all week. Give it fifteen minutes of real attention instead of dread, and find out whether it is boring or just unexamined.
