I will face difficult situations with grace and courage.

Courage is loud in the movies and quiet everywhere else. Usually it looks like keeping your voice level while saying something you would rather not say.

Grace is quieter still. Mostly it is not making a hard moment worse for the other people in it — not snapping at whoever delivered the news.

You don't get to choose the difficult situation. You get about two seconds between what happens and what you do, and that gap is the whole thing. Nothing here promises you'll manage it. Some days you won't. The aim is to widen those two seconds, once.
