A room does not warm on contact. It warms the way a cold house does - slowly, from a source that keeps going after you have stopped noticing it, and mostly through repetition rather than any single dramatic hour.

Which means the effect you have is largely out of your hands on a given day. Some rooms are already braced against you. What you can run is the steady low output: asking after the thing somebody mentioned last month, being the one who says the awkward first sentence at the start of a meeting. Temperature is a long-run average, not an entrance.
