Affirmation to Gratitude I gratefully receive the lessons every experience brings, good and bad.

I gratefully receive the lessons every experience brings, good and bad.

Experience doesn't teach on its own. People repeat the same relationship, the same job mistake, the same argument for decades and come out the far end with twenty years of practice at not learning.

What converts experience into a lesson is a deliberate step — sitting with what happened long enough to name the pattern, which almost nobody schedules because it's uncomfortable and unbillable.

Ten minutes usually does it.

Think of something that went badly in the last month. Ask what you'd do differently, and say the answer out loud in one sentence. Vague regret doesn't transfer to next time. A sentence does.
