Notice what a bad night does to an easy email. Six hours of poor sleep and a two-line reply becomes a mountain — not because the email changed, but because the thing reading it did. It runs the other way too: a walk round the block has resolved more stuck problems than most meetings called to resolve them.
Whichever half is struggling, the other is worth asking about first. It is often the cheaper door into the same room.
