Affirmation to Negativity I release any worries of unimportant things

I release any worries of unimportant things

Worry doesn't sort by size. It sorts by whatever is nearest the surface, which is why a person facing something genuinely large will spend Tuesday evening deeply exercised about a parking fine.

There's a reason for that. Small worries are the right shape to be gripped. The big one has no handle on it anywhere, so the mind goes off and finds something it can actually hold.

Which makes the sorting worth doing on paper rather than in your head. Written down, most of a week's worries turn out to be admin — three of them a phone call each, one of them not yours.

What survives that is usually a single thing, and usually the one you haven't been letting yourself look at directly.
