Full potential often gets used as a stick. It implies a ceiling you are falling short of, measured against a version of you who never tires and has no other obligations. Respect is the gentler word in that sentence and the more useful one. You would respect a colleague's ability by handing them real work, and also by not asking for it at midnight for the fourth night running.
Extend that to yourself literally. Give yourself something demanding today, then stop at a reasonable hour.
Both halves are respect. Only one of them ever gets talked about.
