A tree in high wind isn't rigid. It's anchored, and the movement above ground is exactly why it doesn't snap.

Standing strong in a belief has never required refusing to hear anything. The sturdiest version can take the question, sit with it a while, and stay put.

Dreams need the same handling. Ten years of not yet will test whether you actually want the thing or only liked saying it aloud. The ones that survive go quieter, get more specific, and become much harder to talk you out of.
