It does, mostly, and that's a strange thing to be able to rely on: one of the few actions where the return is immediate and doesn't wear off the way most rewards do.

It doesn't always, though. Sometimes it's inconvenient, you're irritated the whole time, and there's no warm glow at the end — only a slightly shorter evening. Those ones still count. The good feeling works as encouragement rather than as the point, which is why it's safe to enjoy it without auditing whether your motives were pure enough to qualify.
