Like a laser to a target, I am achieving every goal!

A laser is useless without something to point at, and that is the unexamined half of the image. Most people have the intensity and not the coordinates.

Get healthy has no coordinates. Get the business going has none either. You can bring enormous focus to a vague goal and finish the year exhausted with nothing completed, which is a common and demoralizing experience. Specificity does more work than intensity here. A mediocre effort at a precise target beats a fierce effort at fog.

Define the target tightly enough that you would know by Friday whether you hit it.
