Affirmation to Work Mistakes do not equal failure.

Mistakes do not equal failure.

In a good kitchen a dropped tray gets announced loudly and immediately by the person who dropped it. Nobody's career ends. Somebody brings a brush and service carries on, three minutes behind.

In a bad one it gets quietly cleared, and the same thing happens again next Thursday because nobody learned anything.

The difference is not in the tray. It is in how fast the thing can be said out loud.

What turns an error into something worse is almost always the hour spent hoping nobody noticed.
