Affirmation to Personal Growth My limits yesterday are my starting point today.

My limits yesterday are my starting point today.

Some houses have a pencil mark on the doorframe, a stack of them, each with a date beside it. Nobody stands under it hoping to have shrunk.

Yesterday's ceiling becoming today's floor is a generous way to hold a limit. It turns the limit into information rather than a verdict.

Some days the floor sits lower than it did. Illness, bad sleep, a hard week. The mark doesn't get rubbed out for that. It's still where you reached, and you get to start from it again.
