Clarity is less a mental state than a housekeeping outcome. Minds go cloudy mostly from holding too much at once.
Forty open tabs is the visible version. The invisible one is the six unresolved things you're carrying — the email unanswered, the appointment to book, the conversation you owe someone. None of them need solving this minute. All of them are drawing power.
Getting them onto paper doesn't finish them, but it does stop the mind rehearsing them in the background. Focus usually arrives shortly afterward, looking like willpower when it was really just space. Empty the pockets first.
