Magnets do two things: they pull, and they hold. The pulling gets all the credit.

Warmth pulls easily. The person who learns the barista's name, who asks the follow-up question instead of waiting for their turn to talk. But holding is what turns attraction into something lasting: remembering what was said last time, showing up on a dull Tuesday when there is nothing charming about the occasion.

If people gravitate towards you, that is a real gift and it is half the equipment. The other half is duller and entirely learnable.
