This situation is neither good nor bad. it simply is.

Verdicts get issued far too early. Ask anyone about the job they did not get in their twenties, or the relationship that ended badly at the time, and you will often hear a completely revised assessment delivered without embarrassment.

Events do not arrive labelled. The label is added later, from a position you do not currently occupy, using information you do not currently have.

Which means the honest thing to say about today is often nothing at all. Not neutrality as a discipline — just the position of someone standing too close to score it.
