A surprising share of what holds people back is admin. Not fear — a password nobody can find, a signature needed from someone who doesn't answer email, an envelope that has sat on the same corner of the desk since April.

It gets narrated as a character problem because it feels like one. But the distance between blocked and moving is often forty minutes and a phone number, and the reason it hasn't been done is that it is tedious rather than terrifying.

Worth separating the two before deciding what kind of day this is. One of them wants courage. The other only wants a Tuesday morning and a pen.
