Your jaw is probably clamped right now, and there is no memory of clamping it, and it releases the second it is noticed — which means it was being held on purpose by somebody who never agreed to any of it.
The body keeps a running brace against things it expects. Shoulders drawn up towards the ears, a fist in the stomach, breath taken high in the chest as though something were about to be dodged.
None of that responds well to being ordered. It responds to being found. Attention arrives at the shoulder and the shoulder lets go, mostly without any instruction being issued at all.
