Today the road to my goals has green lights as far as I can see.

You can see the next light, maybe the one after. Nobody is given the whole route.

Driving at night works anyway — headlights reach a couple of hundred feet, and people cross entire countries that way, arriving somewhere at breakfast having seen almost none of it.

Most goals run on the same principle. The path doesn't have to be clear all the way down, and waiting until it is means never leaving the driveway. Get clear on the next intersection. That's genuinely enough information to move.
