Wrinkles are a beautiful sign of abundant living and loving.

A face keeps a record of which expressions it made most. The fan at the outer corner of an eye only appears on people who have spent about forty years screwing their face up laughing; the crease between the brows belongs to close attention, held for hours at a time.

Neither of those is damage. They're the residue of use, in the way a wooden spoon goes pale and thin on one side because of how a particular person stirs. A face with none of it has either been very careful or very unbothered, and it isn't obvious that either one is the better outcome.
