The habit you gave up trying to fix is where acceptance actually lives. They will always be ten minutes late. They will always tell that story wrong.
It arrives as a kind of tiredness that turns into peace. You run out of energy for the campaign, and then discover the campaign was costing more than the habit ever did.
It does not cover everything. Some things should never be accepted, and knowing the difference is the real work. Most of the list, though, is just texture.
Retire one small campaign this week and see what the room feels like without it.
