I am grateful for the positive energy that flows to and through me.

*Through* is the interesting half. It suggests you're not a reservoir but a length of pipe — that what arrives is meant to keep moving.

That's a decent working rule regardless of what you make of the word energy. Most good things you've received came via someone who passed them along rather than storing them: an introduction, a piece of advice, a chance somebody took on you when they didn't have to.

None of it cost the giver much. They just had to move it.
