Somewhere in the last ten years you stopped needing anyone else present for things you now do alone. Driving somewhere unfamiliar. Sitting in a bank and asking a question. Cooking for six people. Handling a phone call you were dreading and then having a normal afternoon.
Every one of those was, at some point, beyond you. None of them felt like an achievement on the day they stopped being difficult, which is why the list never gets made.
Capability accumulates silently. The stack under you is taller than the view from the top suggests.
