I believe that great things are about to happen

Most people cannot tell you the date they met the person they now can't imagine the house without. It was a Wednesday, somebody else cancelled, the room was too warm. Nothing about it announced itself.

Great things very rarely arrive with an orchestra. They come in as an ordinary appointment you nearly rescheduled and get promoted to significant about two years later, retroactively — which makes belief here less a prediction than a posture. Turn up to enough ordinary Wednesdays and one of them gets the chance to become the story.
