I do not let other peoples disease and disorders scare me, I see them and myself as being completely healed.

The waiting room is full of information you did not ask for. Someone describing a bad outcome. A pamphlet with a statistic on it. A well-meaning relative reciting a story that ends badly.

Statistics describe populations.

They are excellent at predicting what a thousand people will do and useless at predicting what you will do, which is the only case you are interested in.

Fear does not take instruction well. What does take instruction is the decision to stop treating somebody else's story as your forecast — a smaller thing, and one you can hold on to in a corridor.
