Healing does not need instruction. It needs to not be interrupted.
Mostly we interrupt. Back at work on day three. Running on the ankle because the week was already planned. Checking whether it still hurts by pressing on it, which is the physical version of asking a question you do not want answered.
Permission, then, is largely a matter of getting out of the way. Accepting that recovery runs on its own clock, and that the clock has no interest in your calendar.
The work is already being done. Your job is mostly to stop pressing on it.
