Notice how differently you would feed someone you love. You would sit them down. You would make something warm. You would not hand them crackers over the sink at nine at night and call it dinner.
The standing-at-the-counter meal is not a moral failure. It is what happens when the person being fed is not being treated as company.
Love, applied to eating, looks less like a stricter list and more like a plate and twenty minutes. Same food, arguably. Completely different transaction.
