Happiness and peace get bundled together, and they are different weather.
Happiness is a front moving through: bright, real, temporary, arriving because of something. Peace is closer to the climate underneath — a low hum that needs no occasion and does not leave when the occasion does.
You can have peace on an unremarkable day with nothing to celebrate. You can have it on a sad one. Chasing the happiness is normal. Building the peace is quieter work, and it is what holds when the weather turns, which it does, always, on its own timetable.
