There's a houseplant somewhere in every house that's gone leggy and lopsided and gets watered anyway, on Sundays, without any discussion of whether it has earned it.
Care for bodies is usually more conditional than that. It arrives after a good week and gets withdrawn after a bad one.
The stretching stops when the results stop, the decent food goes when the mood does, and care becomes a bonus paid on performance.
Unconditional means the Tuesday you feel unattractive and slow gets the same glass of water, the same early night, the same walk around the block. Especially that Tuesday. That's the day the care is actually doing something.
