Managing your own case is a full-time exhaustion of its own. Forums past midnight. Second-guessing a dose. A running mental ledger of symptoms, kept in case somebody asks for it.
Allowing means setting some of that down — not the appointments, not the medication, but the surveillance. Handing part of it back to the people trained for it, and to a body that was repairing things long before you started supervising. Some nights the most useful thing within reach is closing the laptop.
