Affirmation to Work I don’t worry about who doesn’t like me or my future.

I don’t worry about who doesn’t like me or my future.

In any workplace of more than about nine people, somebody is going to find you irritating, and a portion of that has nothing to do with you. You enforced the rota. You got the shift they wanted. You remind them of a brother-in-law.

Trying to close that gap costs an enormous amount and rarely closes it. The effort is visible, too, which makes it worse.

The people whose opinion actually bears on your future are a much shorter list than the one you carry around, and most of them are judging one thing: whether you do what you said you would do.
